Birmingham, Alabama, is known as the “Dinner Table of the South.” From the country’s best barbecue to global dishes with the influence of the American South, Birmingham’s dining scene is one to relish. A talented and energetic music community entertains in clubs and music venues all around the area. Birmingham was Ground Zero for the American Civil Rights Movement, now drawing visitors from around the world to immerse themselves in the historic events. Golfers come to play Birmingham’s courses on the world-class Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

Dothan is south Alabama’s premier sports destination.  Our city parks have hosted national events for USTA, USA BMX, and Dixie Youth Baseball and Softball.  No matter what your sport of choice is, we have the right space for you in over 700 acres of designated park.  Choose from 47 professional grade tennis courts, 31 baseball and softball fields, 6 soccer fields, an indoor Olympic sized pool, a killer BMX track, and so much more.  Our Visit Dothan staff will work directly with our city park officials to book your tournament and help you choose host hotels for all your athletes and their families.

The Singing River influence their way of life just as it compelled William Christopher Handy to reproduce the sounds of our unique Southern Soul. Stories of overcoming adversity abound throughout the Shoals, from enduring the battles of the Civil War era to the inspirational accomplishments of Helen Keller. Today the “Shoals” area is includes Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield and Tuscumbia. Florence is the largest city in Lauderdale County. The small town flavor of our soul and the large city refinement are evident as your stroll through our charming historic districts, play 18 holes of world class golf, reel in a trophy size bass or indulge yourself in our tantalizing array of southern cuisine.

The Etowah County Tourism Board is charged with marketing Etowah County as a travel destination. OUR PRODUCT is the wide-range of leisure, cultural, historic, and recreational activities that Etowah County has to offer. In addition, the Coosa River and Noccalula Falls combine to give the county abundant natural resource attractions which drive our brand: our natural beauty, the outdoors, and outdoor activity. OUR GOAL is to give visitors to Etowah County all they need to enjoy our offerings and to be a strong partner with county stakeholders, while being a leader in regional tourism efforts.

However, we like to think of ourselves simply as your tour guide to Huntsville.

Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports (TTS) is a 501 c(6) non-profit organization funded by the City of Tuscaloosa, the Tuscaloosa County Commission, and various fundraising efforts. The primary purpose of TTS is to enhance economic development through destination promotion. Destination promotion drives economic development in four ways: attracting strategic events, raising the destination profile, building transport networks, and raising the quality of life of residents.
